From a profile on the ABC’s Australian Story, to helping the Queensland Maroons in their successful Rugby League State of Origin campaign, to a memorable trip to Lismore South in New South Wales to support the region’s youth, June 2023 was a massive month for our own Hugh van Cuylenburg.

The ABC’s Australian Story told the tale of Hugh’s journey to a national television audience, with insights from Hugh’s closest family and friends, including Ryan Shelton and Hamish Blake.

State of Origin
Hugh has been spending time with the Queensland Maroons during their Rugby League State of Origin campaign, working alongside coach Billy Slater and the players as they take on the New South Wales Blues.

Supporting youth in Lismore South
To round off the month, Hugh joined forces with Olympian Sally Pearson to visit Lismore South Public School in NSW.
Hugh and Sally shared their stories and tips for supporting the students’ wellbeing, with thanks to the generous support of our education partner Coles.
