Early Years Wellbeing Program

We partner with early learning services to help children build social and emotional wellbeing through simple, evidence-based strategies brought to life through play.

Why wellbeing matters

By primary school, 1 in 4 students are already struggling with high levels of depression or anxiety. In the early years we have a unique opportunity to support children to understand their emotions, navigate new challenges and develop foundational skills that will last a lifetime.

Our program helps build these skills through playful, age-appropriate experiences, grounded in four evidence-based principles proven to support resilience and positive mental health: Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness (GEM) and Emotional Literacy.

How we support service-to-home connection

Families are children's first and most important educators, so we've created multiple opportunities for wellbeing experiences to be shared at home.

Meet Cozy Koala

100% recycled materials. 100% huggable.

Cozy is our much-loved service-to-home initiative, travelling home with children and inviting families to experience GEM together.

When Cozy returns, children can share their adventures with their peers, bringing those conversations and experiences back into your service.

Community Projects

Community projects are fun, meaningful activities designed to bring GEM to life while strengthening connection between your service and the wider community.

Children, educators, families and even familiar faces who visit your service can all get involved and contribute to something together. We provide everything you need to make each project happen.

Through this program, we have been able to deepen our Centre’s sense of community by fostering genuine connections and active participation from the children, their families and our educators.

It is so gratifying that there is finally a resource out in the early childhood education community that actively supports children’s development of positive mental health outcomes.

Taking Cozy Koala with the workbook home has created much excitement for the children. It is also wonderful that they can all share a different report with their peers, and this has kept it interesting.
