2025 Early Years Wellbeing Program

We all know the early years in a child’s life are crucial for emotional development. Our Early Years Wellbeing Program is a tool for educators to support children in building their capacity to manage their wellbeing, now and in the future.

Having been delivered in 700+ early years services across Australia, our program uses engaging, practical and evidence-based strategies to build the foundation of positive mental health.

Our program is on the Victorian School Readiness Funding Menu and an option for Kindy Uplift Funding in Queensland.

GRATITUDE

Paying attention to the things we have right now, and not worrying about what we don’t have. We practise this by noticing the positives around us.

EMPATHY

Putting ourselves in the shoes of others to feel and see as they do. We practice this by being kind and compassionate towards other people.

Service and Home Connection

Families are children’s first and most important educators and that’s why we have opportunities for GEM experiences to be shared at home.

Cozy Koala Take Home Initiative

Cozy Koala is our take home initiative to support the connection between your early learning service and home. Cozy is made from 100% recycled materials and is 100% huggable. Arriving in a TRP backpack, Cozy comes with a GEM journal for each child to take home once during the year. When Cozy visits a home, families will engage in GEM experiences and children will have the opportunity to share their adventures with their peers.

Community Projects

Community Projects are designed to support the connection between your service and the wider community through the GEM principles. Children, families, educators and visitors are invited to participate in GEM activities. There are 3 Community Projects each year. We provide everything you need to successfully implement the projects in your service.

Testimonials

“We have started from the very first year this was introduced and have loved the constant improvements you’ve made to the program. Kinders love the colours which you have added to the journals and we love the new GEM TV sessions this year too. Needless to say Cozy Koala was the best addition and provided a lot of parent involvement.”

“Federation Children’s Centres are proud to have worked with The Resilience Project for a number of years to embed the Early Years Wellbeing Program into our kindergarten curriculum. With the birth to five years the greatest period for growth and development, teaching children emotional literacy and positive mental health strategies ensures that they have these foundation skills for life. Our teachers love the simplicity of the program and lessons which connects the GEM principles learnt at kinder to home.  Cosy Koala loves going on adventures with our children and families to strengthen this connection. TRP also ensure our teachers and educators can put in place positive skills for their own lives.”
